Salary ranges for political office holders to widen: Chan Chun Sing

Salary ranges for political office holders will widen to 75 per cent to 125 per cent, announced Singapore Coordinating Minister for Public Services Chan Chun Sing.

Explaining the change in parliament on Tuesday (Sep 8), Mr Chan said the independent review committee appointed to oversee pay review for office holders noted that such a move is in line with market practice. And this gives greater room to cater for people joining political service from different backgrounds and at different stages of their careers.
