Julius Mkhwanazi, co-accused apply for bail in Mbense murder case - 08 September 2026

The bail hearing of suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi and his five co-accused is expected to continue on today at the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court.

The six accused face charges including murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and defeating the ends of justice, linked to the 2022 killing of businessman Emmanuel Mbense.
