The energy demands for AI are “the least of our concerns”, former US vice-president and environmental activist Al Gore told CNA on Monday (Sep 7). Mr Gore added that the extra emissions coming from AI data centres are “a cause for concern but not panic”, as they account for a fraction of emissions from uncovered landfills.
