Former US vice-president and environmentalist Al Gore took aim at fossil fuel companies for spreading “falsehoods” about the climate crisis. Speaking to CNA on Monday (Sep 7), Mr Gore added that politicians in some nations — including the US — are “under the thumb” of powerful fossil fuel companies.
