Trump’s envoys push to revive three-way peace talks | Ukraine Brief

U.S. peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Saturday concluded negotiations with Vladimir Putin, aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

Following their Moscow trip, Witkoff and Kushner traveled to Kyiv, meeting President Zelenskyy and senior Ukrainian officials on Sunday. This marks the first-ever official visit to Ukraine by the two American envoys.

With Ukraine’s strained ability to defend itself from Russian strikes, the U.S. wants to revive trilateral peace talks in a bid to de-escalate tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

This comes as President Zelenskyy warns that the war will likely continue into the winter months, saying that diplomacy is Ukraine’s “Plan A.”
