Bail decision for Emfuleni electricity fraud accused set for 14 September

Judgment in the bail application of accused one to seven in the Emfuleni Local Municipality illegal electricity reconnection syndicate case, will be delivered on 14 September.

On the same day, the court will also hear the bail application of accused number eight, Janitha van Reenen Coetzee, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the alleged R9.9 million scam.

The Gauteng Political Killings Task Team arrested Coetzee on Thursday outside the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court, shortly after she was released on bail in a separate fraud case.
