KZN Premier on intensifying Operation Engangeni Ngesango Iyafohla September

KwaZulu-Natal authorities are tightening the screws on businesses employing undocumented foreign nationals.

Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli says there will be intensified enforcement with Operation Engangeni Ngesango Iyafohla September.

Raids will target companies suspected of violating immigration and labour laws in and around the Mandeni Municipality.

Speaking during a compliance operation, Ntuli voiced concern after finding that several businesses earmarked for inspection had shut their doors before officials arrived.
But he insists this will not derail the crackdown.
