Witness in Matlala and others case confirms seeing alleged hitman

A state witness, in the attempted murder trial of Vusimuzi Matlala and others, has confirmed in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg that he has seen alleged hitman, Musa Kekana, driving around in a white Hyundai i20.

This is the same vehicle police were looking for after the murder of Vereeniging Engineer, Armand Swartz, in 2024.

The witness was giving testimony in a-trial-within-a, where Kekana is fighting to have evidence obtained during his arrest declared inadmissible.

Kekana, Matlala, Nthabiseng Nzama, Tsakani Matlala, and Tiego Mabusela, are facing charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

This relates to the botched assassination of socialite, Tebogo Thobejane, businessman, Joe Sibanyoni, and music producer, Seunkie Mokubung.
