Netball SA veteran defender Karla Pretorius takes the whistle

Veteran South African defender, Karla Pretorius, recently retired from netball after 125 Proteas appearances, and steering the Free State Crinums to a fifth Telkom Netball League crown.

But her involvement in the game is far from over.

She says the decision to end her playing career was tough but carefully made, and hopes her journey will inspire the next generation.
