Audio: firefighters respond to deadly Amazon cargo plane crash

Around 2:00 p.m., the aircraft overshot runway 30, careened off the airport property, and struck multiple vehicles on a surrounding warehouse-lined roadway before bursting into flames. More than 60 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units and 200 personnel rushed to the scene. Responders faced a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) involving complex extrications of victims trapped inside or under vehicles, alongside rescuing the pilot and co-pilot from the burning aircraft. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are actively investigating the cause of the crash, focusing on whether the aircraft touched down too late on the runway.
