Court dismisses Mapisa-Nqakula’s discharge application

The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria is handing down its decision on former National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's request to have her corruption and money-laundering case dismissed.

Mapisa-Nqakula says the State has not provided enough evidence against her.

The State disagrees and says it has enough evidence for the trial to continue.

Mapisa-Nqakula is accused of asking for millions of rands in bribes while she was Defence and Military Veterans Minister.

She has always denied the allegations.
