Heavy vehicles spark Swartberg concerns

Farmers and businesses in Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo have appealed to trucking companies for their vehicles to stop using the Swartberg Pass as an alternative route.

The pass acts as a alternative route between the Little and Central Karoo - glinking Oudtshoorn and Prince Albert.

It's being used more frequently now that the Meiringspoort remains closed following extensive flood damage.
