Go!Durban bus service rolls out in December 2026

After a 16-year delay, the eThekwini Municipality has announced that its integrated public transport system, the Go!Durban bus service, will begin operating in December 2026.

An estimated R9.7 billion has been spent on the project since 2010, and another R2 billion will be required to run it.

The delays have been put down to a number of issues, including prolonged negotiations with taxi operators.
