Americans, Indians and Chinese are all willing to work 12 hours a day to get to where they want to be. Is Europe willing to ditch their "lifestyle" to catch up? I suspect not. This is not belittling European talent. It's just a fact of life.

Developing infrastructure for EU and regulating companies can be done at the same time. It is not because EU chose to regulate these US companies that they fell behind. It is because of inaction interms of infrastructure and vision. You can walk and chew gum at the same time.
