PUTIN TALKS YIELD NO BREAKTHROUGH:
Russia and the U.S. have offered positive assessments of talks between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump’s envoys in Moscow. The Kremlin called the meeting “useful,” while the White House said “substantial” plans were discussed. Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are due in Kyiv on Sunday.

DRONES STRIKE DEEP INSIDE RUSSIA:
Ukrainian drones struck several Russian regions overnight despite a limited weekend ceasefire covering Moscow and Kyiv. An oil refinery in Ryazan was damaged, while explosions and air defenses were reported around Rostov-on-Don.

AFD EYES HISTORIC VICTORY:
Voting is underway in Germany’s Saxony-Anhalt in a closely watched state election. The far-right AfD leads the polls with just over 40%, well ahead of Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s CDU, and could secure a historic victory.
