Soooo interesting! Personally, gym time for me is โ€œme-timeโ€ and I make it a thing of turning do not disturb on so that the only thing I can do is listen to music and feel myself getting stronger. But whatever works for you โค๏ธ

I totally agree, it's not all or nothing! Even a tiny bit of movement every day eventually stacks up. Start easy and just keep going. And strength training is such a great thing to build in over time.

funny thing, in yoga we have a ton of exercises that involve balancing on a single leg (in different variations / poses)... will go to my class tonight knowing i am contributing to not breaking a hip in 40 years from now ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ thank you Faye!

Getting into a workout:

I go back to this phrase:
"Master the art of showing up."

If i can just get there then it doesnt matter what i do, because i mastered showing up.
However, all the effort to get there leaves me wanting to make it worth my while so i end up doing more than i planned.

Treadmill:

I love reading but dont get much time for it. I personally recommend standing on one leg eyes closed regularly cuz it also boosts brain and cardiovascular health while improving your balance but please if youโ€™re trying it for the first time make sure to do it in a safe environment or fall back on seat or smth like that cuz staying balanced eyes closed can be difficult

Omg Forget about an orange juice on empty stomach... Banana is ok as is a handfull of nuts or almonds, a glass of soymilk, an apple, a protein bar... Prepare the night before a bowl of overnight oats in a jar so it s ready to eat and take away eventually.

Took Clara Hartleyโ€™s anxiety quiz while I was waiting for my food and thought it would just be something quick to pass the time. Now Iโ€™m reading about how I respond to stress and why I avoid certain situations. That escalated a lot faster than expected.

If only I'd known this in my 20s ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I wasted years chasing quick fixes, starving myself, then binging because my body was screaming for help. Got to menopause and my body completely rebelled. A menopause coach recommended the Menopause Transition Playbook by (Lisa.Grant). It reprogrammed everything. Now 28 lbs lighter, sleeping like a baby, and no more anxiety spirals. Wild how simple it actually is when you know the right framework.

Movement snacks are great! Sounds like a little treat for yourself. When it comes to the strenght trainging, I wonder if pilates with weights and bands is enough.
I would love to see the material about face massages, what is the state from science point of view, whether it's helpful with face lifting, lymph drainage etc.

Oh my gosh! The Flamingo; that's great and so funny! I am a dancer, and so for years I have had to have utter discipline with my body. However, I have had pet chickens, and they stand on one leg. Since I was a little girl I would do the same thing with them. Now I see that my silliness is actually quite beneficial. Thanks Faye!
