Nepal devastation: Aerial footage reveals staggering scale of floods

Footage filmed from a Nepali Army Mi-17 helicopter on September 4 shows the extent of devastation along the path of the deadly mudslide in Rasuwa district.
Experts say a collapsed glacier triggered the disaster, unleashing a torrent of ice, rock and mud through mountain valleys. More than 1,300 people were killed, and over 5,600 remain missing.
Officials and rescue workers say they believe at least 900 people were trapped in tunnels linked to six hydropower projects when the disaster struck on August 26.
The disaster left an estimated 2.2 million tonnes of debris, according to a preliminary UN assessment, including building rubble, rocks and sediment.
