Malombo Festival | Connecting with ancestors

Different cultural groups from various tribes in South Africa and across the African continent have gathered for the annual 'Malombo' cultural festival in Polokwane, Limpopo.

The event seeks to preserve African indigenous knowledge systems as well as preserve the use of traditional medicines.

The cultural groups comprise traditional healers from the Khoisan tribe, the Masai from Kenya and various other African tribes.

The cultural festival was launched last year by traditional herbalist from Limpopo, Mpho Makhado.
