EFF calls for SASSA bill exemptions

The Economic Freedom Fighters wants government to stop billing SASSA recipients for water and electricity, arguing that indigent households cannot afford to pay for basic services.

EFF leader Julius Malema was speaking at the party’s Provincial Manifesto Launch in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga.

Malema also said residents of Emalahleni should pay less for electricity, given the health challenges linked to the area’s coal-fired power generation.
