Well, Uber and Lyft don’t want to “hire” these drivers and call them employees, they want to call them “independent contractors”…. Which means they can work for whomever they want, in addition. But Uber doesn’t like that either. They want them to ‘act’ like independent contractors, absorbing all the costs of doing the business, but also to ‘behave’ like ‘employees’, who can’t work for two employers at the same time like these drivers do. <br><br>This is just Corporate America taking away more of your freedoms, controlling your lives, and stealing your wages by calling you independent contractors, while they make all the profit.
