The answer is simple: China money
A lot of the people objecting to data centres wouldn't be - or would still be voting for Trump is they happened to be built elsewhere. Many of them are selfish hypocrites imo - who will always put themselves first - even if occasionally their cause might support others - that's secndary
European news make so much contents about America. <br>But in America, no American news make any contents news about Europe except when it was serious like the wildfire.
Why don't just build data center in remote and empty or sparsely populated area like Montana or North Dakota? <br>They have electricity, water and huge cheap, empty land where very few people live. Remote location does not matter for AI data center.
They should have offered a lifetime supply of McDonald's instead of the money 😂
