Traditional healers gather to celebrate African medicine and cultural heritage at Malombo festival

September has ushered in a new season and with it, new beginnings across various traditions.

In Polokwane, African traditional medicine practitioners are marking the start of the African New Year with the ancestral dance festival, Malombo.

The gathering is dedicated to promoting and preserving African Indigenous Knowledge Systems, traditional medicine and cultural heritage, bringing together traditional leaders, and government.
