What do President Xi's recent visits reveal about China's diplomatic vision?

In just one week, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek and paid state visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt – engagements that produced a series of important diplomatic outcomes.
At the SCO summit, leaders adopted the Bishkek Declaration and 28 outcome documents. In Kyrgyzstan, China and Kyrgyzstan signed a joint declaration on advancing their comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era, along with a treaty on permanent good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation. In Egypt, the two sides signed cooperation documents covering trade, artificial intelligence, the digital economy and transport.
So, what are the major takeaways from these trips? And what do they tell us about China's diplomatic priorities and vision for the future?
