When I was young, I wanted a Benz/Beamer so badly!! They were so COOL looking and reliable. Now having worked with car mechanics...those desires have left me a LONG time ago. I don't even want to touch 'em! I stayed with Toyota/Lexus and NEVER looked back. This is VW's LAST chance. F* this one up and it's GG. ICE engines are OUT. This is life & death for VW.

I think what Germany can do is to limit Chinese cars in their country

I have a clear memory about my last and final experience with VW. I started with a used bug in the 70’s and ended with a 2014 TDI Tuareg. I had 7 VW’s and an Audi in between. I’m very sorry about the people who are affected, but the TDI experience cut deep.
