From Ukrainian sources: In Ukrainian online communities, a theory is circulating that the drone strike on the SBU building in Kyiv today may have been orchestrated by the SBU itself.<br><br>We recall that "a similar theory" was actively spread through Russian military and Ukrainian opposition channels and had already been analyzed by "Strana."<br><br>Now, one of the major Kyiv-based online channels has published it.<br><br>The authors emphasize that the drone hit the office of Deputy Head of the SBU, Alexander Poklad, precisely against the backdrop of the scandal surrounding him and discussions about his possible dismissal. At the same time, Poklad himself was not in the building during the attack.<br><br>They also cite the speculation of communications expert Sergei "Flash" that the drone could have been controlled via a local MESH repeater with internet access within a radius of several kilometers. This leads to the conclusion that the attack could have been pre-planned and precisely targeted.<br><br>Supporters of this theory question why a single "Shahed" drone was used for the alleged assassination attempt on the acting head of the security service, rather than a more powerful missile.<br><br>However, there is currently no evidence to suggest that the SBU was involved in the attack. The theory is based on a coincidence of circumstances and assumptions about how the drone was guided.<br><br>The official Ukrainian version is that the building was struck by a Russian drone.

Russian military capabilities are far more lethal now than they were before February 2022. In many ways, their military has evolved into a class of its own.
