MKP's bid to remove Makashule Gana as Impeachment Committee Chair fails

National Assembly Speaker, Thoko Didiza, has rejected the MK Party's demand that Makashule Gana be removed as Chairperson of the Section 89 Impeachment Committee.

The MKP asked Didiza to review and set aside Gana's election, questioning his suitability to chair the process. But the Speaker says the election was conducted fairly and transparently, and that she cannot override the committee's internal democratic processes.
