I am not convinced she did this because she was mentally ill. She was cognitive enough to plan to send her husband on a shopping trip so she could gave time to strangle her kids. Not mentally ill, just evil.

So, it sounds like the lone juror has a reasonable doubt about the defendant’s guilt, but has voted her guilty anyway. If the prosecution didn’t prove their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt then the jury has to vote not guilty regardless of anyone’s personal feelings.

A judges instructions are NOT LAW and do NOT legally have to be followed. This defence lawyer is grasping at straws. Weak case on his part. Judges can be insane in their instructions like in Pres Trump's case he instructed that the jurors can pick among 3 different issues and the 12 didn<br>'t have to settle on one thing to be unanamous in saying he is guilty. This is not following the law in any way. Jurors, follow your conscious and just smile when the judge gives his/her instructions. Then go with your gut for innocent or guilty.
