The prosecution flubbed this right up until their closing. They started out saying there was nothing wrong with her, she was just sick of parenting, nobody believes that-but they could have believed she wasn't in physcosis, but mentally ill to a lesser degree and knew what she was doing was wrong. Also saying g her suicide attempt was fake, nobody bought that either. They should have just stuck to the timeline- which is where they rally made their point in the closing.

Ciminal responsibility depends on her mental state at the moment she murdered her 3 beautiful children.  <br>The evidence shows she was suffering from PSYCHOSIS. Look at her medical history in the last 3 months and also her cries for help from family and medical professionals. <br> Postpartum psychosis can &quot;involve delusions, hallucinations, confusion and profound loss of contact with reality.&quot; <br>Tragically her children paid the ultimate price. Also worth noting is that psychosis involves not only infanticide but also suicide.

People are idiots in assuming that the jury is hung on a not guilty verdict. It could easily be that the jury is finding her guilty and on person is finding her not guilty. The only way to know is if the jury is pulled and one by one each stands up in court and says out loud their verdict.
