barcola is perfect since he’s in peak physical condition from minimal gameplay in Paris unlike Isaak and wirtz who came in overused and fatigued from being major players for their former clubs

We have enough players to develop and improve. We can't go on buying players to buy the premier league like City and Arsenal did. I think that is what Iraola meant. Success will come but not too soon. Money does not grow on trees! We need to deal with what we have.
Last year they spent over 300 million on 3 players! That there could buy a full team of quality players. This window, they spent 125 mill.on 1player ....that could buy at least 5 quality players. The scouts/ recruiters are not doing their job. They are lazy and seem to be looking for ready-made profiled players. There are very good players around the League, and even in the Championship, who are eager to play for a huge club like Liverpool and show their worth. This team has a few good men up front, but its defense is nonexistent, and no depth in the squad overall.

Not just depth, but starting XI as well. No world class RW, ST or #10, terrible LB and RB options. I still feel they will finish in the top 5 quite comfortably.
