If cheating and fixing matches is a professional job am sorry keep it, Mike exposed what goes on in the Premier league and he's 1 of many that are corrupt to the core, Howard Webb, Steve Bennett, Clattenberg the whole lot of them are cheats, Howard Webb was worse than Mike Deen and they made him chairman what are the odds 😂😂. The English Premier league is a dirty money washing machine too cos Morgan Rodgers, Enzo, Barcola, Anderson ain't 100 mill players, no wonder they all hate Arsenal who buy and sell for the right price and are the Classiest in England if not Europe.

Maybe Steve needs to go back in time and see some of the absolute s**t show performances from Mike Dean. What else has he done in games that he hasn't bragged about? The guy is a narcissistic bellend of the highest order.

English refs are an absolute disgrace, there needs to be a serious and independent review. Dean isn't the first retired ref in recent memory to make claims about themselves that smack of corruption. Their lack of self awareness and willingness to just throw out stories of blatant corruption is an indictment of the whole refereeing system.

The guy called steve Nikol is delusional...out of touch. This is obviously not good for refs simply because the guy was on a podcast. Steve's age is affecting his judgement. He is old and does not have to appear on TV programmes.

Yes he was a terrible ref but this is total nonsense. It’s literally impossible to go that long without blowing your whistle and standing in the center circle. 25mins without blowing and managing to stand in the center circle for 15minutes? 😂😂give me a break, there must have been a serious incident on the field otherwise no chance any of that he said was true lol.. Mike Dean is clearly promoting something personal, anyone with a brain can see thru it 😂

I mean the bloke is an idiot really but we knew that anyway when he said that he did not want to throw his m8, under the bus his m8, in that instance being antony taylor, when he was on var for a chelsea vs spurs match many years ago when taylor was the referee.😂 my point is we all knew that mike dean, was far from whiter than white anyway when it comes to impartiality however a lot of the current referees are no different are they really one of them being the one that I already mentioned the now retired antony taylor, so the bigger question here is how many of them are there currently or have been over the years because let's not forget that var are all referees aswell.😂

With Stevie on this one. Mike Dean was a professional, of course the players he refereed have a problem with him for a number of reasons, but I don’t see why the ref has to be absolutely perfect in order to be seen as a professional. He reffed for so many years how can anyone at some point not try to have a little fun during their job? These ex players don’t even know the specific incidents he’s talking about but take it as him not being a professional and ohh that’s why we never liked you. The man tried to have a little fun during incredibly stressful, tense situations. I imagine anyone working the same job for as long as he did would try something similar. And the refs today already get so much stick no matter how well they perform. They’re now semi refs with VAR and all so in a way it’s easier for them. I doubt any of them are thinking oh no now I’m really under pressure. Cameras on them all day and people in their ears there’s not much room for mistakes anyway. Ex players, get over yourselves. If decisions went against you during his time of course there’s bias. Let it go.

There have been many many many people have wrote into ESPN and have suggested corruption in refs and every single time this station has defended refs and dismissed their claims without any evidence to the contrary. When all the stuff came out about David Coote, it was "oh that is one bad egg" and now with Mike Dean (who many people have long since claimed was corrupt) Burley and co will dismiss this as just another bad egg. It is time for ESPN to apologise to anyone who has wrote in and has been patronised over this subject. And this is just the ones we know about. After the second example of mass corruption in English refs Stevie Nicol and Shaka are just dismissing this as a one off and standing up for refs again.
