Korle Lagoon: From Waste to a Livable Community
The government is set to clear the accumulated waste in the Korle Lagoon enclave, but the plan goes beyond demolition or displacement.
Local Government Minister Mahama Ayariga says the area will be redeveloped into organised, livable spaces while ensuring residents can remain close to the economic activities that support their livelihoods.
The goal: a cleaner, safer and better-planned Korle Lagoon community.
