President William Ruto’s allies in Ukambani have intensified voter mobilisation efforts in the region, urging residents to support the Kenya Kwanza administration's development agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election. Speaking at Ndovoini in Mavoko Constituency, UDA National Organising Secretary and Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka Kawaya said the political landscape in Ukambani was increasingly tilting in favour of President Ruto, expressing confidence that he would secure a second term. Meanwhile, People’s Liberation Party (PLP) Leader Martha Karua, while meeting with women groups condemned what she claimed is a growing trend of human rights violations in the country.
