The Anti-Counterfeit Authority of Kenya has announced a raft of measures aimed at containing the increased circulation of illicit alcohol in the country. Speaking in Naivasha, Nakuru County the Authority’s Executive Director, Dr Robi King’a said the measures include the introduction of an authentication mark for every alcoholic drink being sold in the market that will differentiate fake and genuine drinks. Dr King'a stated that the Authority has started a robust awareness campaign to sensitize the consumers. He further encouraged manufacturers to supply products that meet the quality standards in the market.
