My main issue is that "they are seeking better places", while coming from place that is ruined. <br><br>I myself from europe could be seeking "better place" and there are multiple. But I am not and Im working with what Ive got.<br><br>If you are in africa you have so much energy all year around, problem is if you dont know how to use it and turn it in to business. Maybe, just maybe, if human decency and compassion were further up the list of things people strive for (you know, instead of personal wealth, social media numbers, etc.), crisises such as this one would be exceedingly rare and if/when they did arise, they could be handled quickly, safely and in a manner that preserves some of the dignity these people deserve. It's also worth noting the geography of the area in question, no? These people aren't swimming across the channel, nor are they technically setting foot on European soil. The city in question is located on the continent of Africa. It was "confiscated" and subsequently "settled" by European colonizers (Fucking imagine that, huh?). We've already destroyed the majority of the world via greed, ignorance, hubris, xenophobia, racism and heaping helping of regular plain old stupidity. I had hoped, in my 20's that things would change, in my 30's I still had some hope, but I saw the massive undertaking it would require, in my 40's I have lost whatever hope I managed to carry with me, but I hadn't totally given up...
