You force a sh*tty deal on all countries, where their products are tariffed, and US products get into those countries tariff-free. Then promise Canada slightly lower tariffs and say Canada gets the greatest deal on offer. A deal btw which would Canada even more dependent on the US, so in the future is would be even next to impossible to walk away, no matter what extra demands the US would make.
And yeah, “those were never red lines” but I don’t hear him or anyone deny those demands were - as Carney said - still on the table late Friday afternoon.
As I heard Bessent say last year: President Trump is such a great negotiator, when we’ve reached a deal he’ll send the negotiators back to extract some extra concessions. Even Trump’s initial reaction was “that sounds like me”. So stop gaslighting ! Nobody believes this spin.

America woke up after the Gulf War and realized how dangerous China, a savage and murderous communist that showed no mercy even to its own people, was, with its technology and nuclear power, its powerful and terrifying plans, its economy, and Russia, a dictator and violent one with nuclear power and Iskander missiles... and its other destructive plans, and the influence of China and Russia, and the takeover of the Arctic against the weak European countries bordering the Arctic, which itself is the easiest way to access Greenland, Canada, and North America militarily. Canada and Greenland are equal to the vital unity of America, especially with the new age's spies who target American soil in a matter of seconds and flatten it with radioactive soil, not even giving the threat a chance to be heard. Therefore, Finland, France, and Europe, which have Greenland as a colony, and the British monarch who dominates the rule of Canada, must know very well that the world and the world's military powers have changed, and America will never, ever negotiate with them for the security and lives of its people. As long as President Trump is in the White House, Greenland and Canada, whether by deal or by military force, must join America for the sake of America's collective unity and operate under a single unity system and governance. All patriotic and free people of America are awake and aware that war can happen with just a small miscalculation, like World War II. Or perhaps Putin's attack on Europe.....❤🎉🎉❤😮

"we offered them the best deal and they walked away"-"we never said anything about a red line"... That's exactly what a red line means. Your best deal that still includes a bunch of sectorial tariffs that make those industries unsustainable for Canada aren't good enough and you won't budge. Just because you presented YOUR best deal and it would be the BEST of all countries doesn't mean it's a good deal. All it means is that its less sucky than what you are giving others. It is so obvious that the US presented a red line and said this is the best deal we are offering. Canada rightfully decided to leave it and are moving on. Not sure why US media and the presidents tweets are so fixated on Canada considering nothing is needed from us, we're nasty people, we rip off the US, our politicians are liars, I can go on and on. A deal is just not going to happen with this administrations so just move on with life because us Canadians already have.

Is threatening the sovereignty of a nation part of ordinary trade negotiations? No. Is deriding and maligning that nation? No. Canada has every right to be furious at the USA, just as our Good neighbor, Greenland does. Greer can pretend that these negotiations have been regular but Canadians are educated, keeping informed, hence we know otherwise. Canadians on a grassroot level started boycotting as soon as the threats stated -- serious threats that Fox has been happy to trivialize.
