The US did declare all 1933-dated double eagle coins illegal, so even these "Trump" coins can also be declared illegal in the future (especially when backed by laws that forbid such coins from being minted in the first place), or at the very least demonetise them to make them legally worthless (like the half-cent) if making them illegal could not take place (almost certainly for political reasons, so mere demonetisation can be a good compromise to get approval from enough moderate Republican members from both chambers of Congress).
