once i hired them from delhi for a very short distance and that riksha puller started to extort money from me. demanding 100 rupees for a otherwise 20 rupees ride,that too using abusing words with very rude manner. never hired a riksha puller again.
But mostly it is good. When I was a kid I used to watch so many hard working men using so much effort to give ride to customers and it was really a tiresome work but now battery rickshaw driver has given so much daily living to so many people even in remotest villages. I strongly believe if somehow they buy a battery variant they can earn much more easily.
I mean, it would be great to have money and have such a Person as a Servant to drive you with a Rickshaw over the City. It is also ecologically friendly; it is much better than the Limousines that the Leaders of the Green Parties use.
🤔🧐 even I am not from Delhi like big cities, but I haven't seen them since 2016 , i don't know maybe locals ban them , only autoriksha available in small teir 2, 3 cities.

Thailand's rickshaw drivers died 20 years ago, taken over by hired motorcycle riders, same fare but faster.
