Education stakeholders push for an inclusive digital transformation

Education stakeholders are calling for an inclusive digital transformation process that will ensure no learner is left behind, as Kenya embraces artificial intelligence and technology in teaching and learning. The educationists maintain digital transformation must go beyond introducing technology to addressing the inequalities. They are pushing for increased investment in connectivity and reliable electricity, access to devices and learning content and stronger teacher capacity, particularly in underserved areas and learners with special needs. The call comes as education stakeholders from Kenya and China converged at the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa, Nairobi campus for a two-day workshop on advancing digital literacy through the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in STEM education.
