Democracy for citizens party has raised concerns over the government ordered closure of Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited, warning of its potential impact on thousands of residents and workers in Kajiado County. The party says the closure will put the livelihoods of more than 100,000 people who directly and indirectly depend on the facility at risk. Tata Chemicals Magadi is a key producer of soda ash, an essential component in water treatment.
