Nurses’ union claim 458 deaths recorded in the last one month

The National Nurses of Kenya Association and Health professional association now claims 458 deaths have been recorded over the last one month attributing it to the ongoing nurses’ strike that has entered its 37th day today. They further claim that between Monday and Wednesday this week 8 maternal deaths, 16 neonatal deaths and 55 prenatal deaths have been recorded nationally. The professionals are now saying mothers and newborns are bearing the biggest brunt of the unresolved impasse.
