So they complained to the government and the government pleased them by not distributing it. Disaster capitalism all the way. What was a disaster and a tragedy for most Puerto Ricans was just a very good business opportunity for big corporations.

The amount of children living with hunger in the richest country in the world is shocking. ~11 million children. I’ve had kids beg me for a meal outside gas stations. I always help and get them something healthy and more so they will be okay.
His analysis of communal spaces is amazing. We learned first hand during Operational Allies Refuge how important or softball fields and golf courses were on military bases. In Naval Station Rota Spain, those areas became the camps for refugees within 48 hours of that tragedy

Loved this episode! The devastation in Jamaica was similar to what my father experienced in the 80's with Hurricane Gilbert. The love shown by Jamaica and Jamaicans where they not just secure themselves but take care of their neighbors and friends was so heartwarming to see. Thanks for having Andrés on your show to share how he was able to help using his organizational skills and amazing ability to keep things local. Loved the episode! ❤

I sat next to a stranger in an airport lounge. A few minutes later, I tried to pull my charger out of my bag but things kept falling on this man. I kept apologizing. Then he said "you dont have to apologize for existing" and smiled at me. I met this man once and he changed my perspective on life. And im happy to finally know his name. Thank you, José.❤
