It’s common sense! If you’re undocumented and came here seeking a better life, you’re more likely to try to assimilate as much as possible to NOT stand out. The more police are called into an area full of undocumented people the higher the risk comes for EVERYBODY to be caught. <br><br>Bottom line while being someone who illegally came into the country is a crime, we also have to make sure we don’t put these people into the same category as murderers, rapists and such!

Think logically. Why would illegal immigrants commit crime? It puts them in the spotlight and depending on the severity of the crime, they can be deported. Most would not enagage in such activities. Most are hard working individuals trying to get greencard/ citizenship the legal way which is in itself very expensive and time consuming.

A big city (virtually always blue) may not have a higher rate of crime specifically due to illegal immigrants. But, it doesn't in relation to people of color. And, most immigrants that are involved in crimes, are people of color. (With the possible exception of the russians.)
