Tshwane Spring Day celebration turns tragic

The family of 20-year-old Tshepang Nyathi who was stabbed to death on Tuesday, during Spring Day celebrations that went horribly wrong, say they are left shattered and want justice.

Nyathi was stabbed to death, allegedly by a 53-year-old man in Refilwe, Cullinan, while a group of young people were celebrating Spring Day by splashing each other with water.

The suspect appeared in the Cullinan Magistrates' Court on murder charges.
