Khayelihle Shabalala and Deon Mathonsi were sentenced to life in imprison for the murder of uMngeni local municipality's DA Chief Whip Nhlalayenza Ndlovu.

Ndlovu was gund down at his home in Mpophomeni near Howick in December 2023.

Two men pleaded guilty last month, they are two of the five men accused of conspiracy to murder and murder.
