Protein shakes =/= Meal replacement shakes, I feel like people don't quite realize it.<br>And honestly meal replacement shakes are kind of a 'better than not eating anything' thing. Getting any calories when you can't eat much is ideal, yes. But liquid diets aren't really recommended for long-term use and absolutely not when medical supervision isn't available. Some side effects can happen even if you're doing it correctly and those seem to be a consequence of 'not having a solid food diet', so ideally you'll be moved onto solids as soon as possible.

Well regardless not everyone can just get up and move. By asking to have his surgery there I thought Dr Now would have recommended any Bariatric surgeon in his surrounding area. However, I have always felt if one is able to lose their weight in increments in preparation for surgery they should be able to continue to do so without surgery. 🤔

One danger of being 5 foot tall and 600 lbs is your body is a sphere meaning once you start rolling downhill you can't stop.
I hate that Dr. Nau says it’s IMPOSSIBLE to lose that weight without surgery when it actually isn’t, yes it’s a LOT harder but it is definitely not impossible. If these people were able to have a strong mentality and genuinely put int the work they could definitely lose the weight without surgery, yes it takes way longer but is is 100% possible.
