* The Western Cape High Court continues to hear the review application of the Section 89 independant panel report. The legal process was initiated by President Cyril Ramaphosa after a ConCourt ruling on the Phala Phala farm saga.

* Suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi is due to appear before the Brakpan Magistrate's Court, along with five co-accused. They are facing charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice in relation to the killing of businessman Emmanuel Mbense in April 2022.

* Former deputy Crime Intelligence head Feroz Khan remains a central figure at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, despite his dismissal from SAPS where he faced disciplinary proceedings over allegations that his conduct brought the Service into disrepute. He is expected to appear before the Madlanga Commission on the 28th of this month.

* Residents of the ravaged Trishuli Valley in Nepal, have begun to clear the rubble, a week after a collapsed glacier likely caused devastating floods and mudslides, which killed more than 1-thousand-2-hundred people.
