Expert: China champions global governance reform

Is the current global governance system outdated? Sudheendra Kulkarni, an aide to former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, says Western countries represent only 15% of the world's population, but still dominate international decision-making. He says China is a key supporter of democratizing this system. Through its initiatives on global governance, development and security, China seeks to build a fairer and more multipolar international order that empowers the Global South, which accounts for 85% of the world's population.
