Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Cairo on September 1 for a state visit to Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. CGTN Stringer hit the streets of Cairo to ask local people what the China-Egypt relationship means to them.

A common sentiment emerged: family values, enduring civilizations and bonds of friendship underpin the relationship, with high-tech cooperation and student exchanges set to drive it into the future.
