AFD can not recover the glory years of made in Germany. Times have changed. Germany needs a new strategy, the frustration is focusing on issues that matter less, migrates in a long term will contribute to the economy when they join the work force, but often face the reality of a bureaucracy lasting years without work permits. Germany can no longer have a cheap resources share they enjoyed back then, and that's the major problem since it's a manufacturing economy.

There are far-right elements within the AfD, but the party is not far-right in its entirety. It also stands for legitimate conservative positions that we can no longer find in the established parties, such as the CDU. So please, schaltet mal einen Gang runter.

nothing "extreme" about that "far-right-party". the only thing that is extreme is the corrupt swamp that the established parties have created, a system where all the parties act against one. they even have a term for it: brandmauer, which literally means "firewall" and basically expresses their shared policy of uniformly sabotaging ANY motion that said party brings forward.

These childhood friends are one group—not a representative sample of young eastern Germans. Many young people in Saxony-Anhalt reject the AfD, and some actively campaign against it. Even with the party leading the polls, most voters support other parties.
