There are different types of visas. One of them is student visa. Having that type of visa you can stay and finish your school and than go back. There are also permanent visa which would allow you to get a green card and 5 years later you can apply for citizenship. This is in every country. Temporary visa is as it says temporary. I'm sure he knew this if he came here legally. This information is given to everyone that wants to come to US legally. For anyone that commits suicide, it is known to have some type of mental problem for a long period of time. Life is hard so if you're made out of glass you can brake easily unfortunately. Rest in peace.

You don't have an immigration status when you have GPS designation. You don't have a right to stay even if you want to. Unless you get sponsored or go through the different steps. The monitor can be worn underneath the trousers, so I am not sure why this person was feeling that he was treated as an animal because he had his freedom and could continue his normal life while the process of immigration works out.
